Movements
What is inside, and what we do to it before it goes in.
Serviced
No movement goes into a watch as it arrives. Every one is serviced and regulated here before it is cased, and the finished watch is regulated again, to within two to ten seconds a day.
Most watches at these prices leave a factory to a far wider tolerance and are never touched again before they are sold. That is the whole of the difference, and it is why the specification says serviced.
The architecture
Our movements are built on the ETA 2824: twenty-five jewels, 28,800 beats an hour, hacking seconds so the watch can be set to the second, and a crown you can wind by hand. It is the automatic layout the industry settled on, and it has been refined for fifty years.
Who makes them
ETA, in Grenchen. And Seagull, which has been making movements in Tianjin since 1955, is one of the largest movement houses in the world, and builds tourbillons. Which one is in a given watch is on that watch's specification.
After that
We look after what we made. A watch we built is serviced by us at any age, and a watch opened by anyone else is out of warranty.
