Warranty
Four years on every watch we make. Five if we service it in the fifth year.
What is covered
Faults in our work, in the movement and in the artwork on the dial, under normal use, for four years from the year the watch was finished. We cover the movement ourselves. You do not go anywhere else with it.
The strap is covered for one year.
What is not
Fair wear, scratches, water beyond the stated five ATM, accident and misuse.
A watch that has been opened or worked on by anyone but us is out of warranty. Once it has been open we cannot tell what happened inside it.
The legal guarantee
Separately from ours, if you are a consumer you have the legal guarantee of conformity under the Italian Consumer Code for two years from delivery. It runs alongside our warranty and nothing here reduces it.
Registration
There is none. Every watch goes into the register the day it is finished, so the warranty is live from the moment the watch reaches you. The reference is engraved on the caseback and you can look it up.
Making a claim
Email atelier@lindenaer.com with the reference and what the watch is doing. We write back with the address.
Postage
In the first two years the legal guarantee makes the repair free of charge to you, carriage included, so we pay both ways.
After that, under our own warranty: inside the European Union we pay to send the watch back to you and getting it to us is yours. Outside the European Union both legs are yours.
How long it takes
Up to four weeks from the day the watch is with us, carriage aside.
We repair
We do not replace. Every watch is one of one or one of a numbered edition, so there is no second one to hand you.
Every watch is assessed here before we say anything. If one turns out to be beyond repair through a fault of ours, we refund it. If it is beyond repair for any other reason we return it as it is, and there is no refund.
If the watch is sold on
The warranty goes with the watch. The new owner has thirty days from the sale to put the record in their name, and what is left of the four years is theirs. The clock does not restart: cover runs from the year the watch was finished either way.

Servicing
A service is always paid for. It is never part of the warranty.
Servicing the watch with us in its fifth year, €250, carries the warranty to five years. That is a full service: the whole watch gone over until we are confident sending it out again. It has to happen in the fifth year. Arrange one.
